Our Passion - Your Holiday

Hello and welcome to the exciting world of A Trio Travels! We are Emma, Paul, and Sienna – a family united by our love for travel and our shared desire to break free from the traditional 9-to-5 grind. Our story is one of passion, ambition, and the pursuit of a life that’s more fulfilling, adventurous, and financially free.

What inspired you to start A Trio Travels?

Travel has always been a passion of mine, but fitting it around a corporate schedule has always been challenging. When the opportunity to create financial freedom through a travel business came up, I knew it was the perfect fit!

With the ability to earn from anywhere in the world and access the best rates for our own travel, I could see the plan taking shape!

Why is travel important to you as a family?

Some of my happiest early memories are of family holidays, and I want Sienna to have the same.

While my tastes have evolved from camping in the Cotswolds to luxurious Greek getaways, the joy of creating those cherished moments remains the same!

Traveling gives us the time to disconnect from everyday challenges and reconnect as a family which is why I like to have a holiday scheduled every few months!

Do you have a travel bucket list? If so, what’s at the top?

There are so many places on my bucket list, and even more I don't event know about yet!

I wanted to visit Australia when I was 18 but the trip didn't materialise (as I couldn't save the money!) so I would love to make that happen one day!  Maybe I could combine it with a bit of hiking along the Te Araroa in New Zealand.

Why do you believe in helping others become independent travel agents?

Initially, I was focused on creating financial freedom for myself, but once I fully understood this business model, I realized its potential to change lives.

It can help mums avoid returning to unfulfilling jobs after maternity leave, support stressed-out professionals in finding the balance they crave, and enable young adventurers to earn while traveling the world. There truly is something for everyone!

What’s the most memorable trip you’ve ever taken as a family?

Lapland—without a doubt, our most magical adventure yet. Watching Sienna experience the wonders of Lapland at an age where the magic is still so real was incredibly special. While we initially told ourselves the trip was all for her, it ended up being just as memorable for us as parents. From the husky sled rides to the Northern Lights, the holiday was filled with firsts for all of us, and we left Finland completely enchanted.

I often remind myself that my mum, as much as she would have loved to, couldn’t have afforded to give me experiences like this as a child. That makes me even more grateful to be able to create these moments for Sienna. Trips like this are more than just adventures—they’re memories I’ll cherish forever and a reminder of how fortunate we are to make them happen.

What’s your philosophy on family travel and creating unforgettable experiences?

For me, travel isn’t just about the big, bucket-list moments (though I love those too!); it’s also about the small, everyday joys—sharing a laugh, trying a new food, or watching the kids, friends, partners light up at something they’ve never seen before. I believe in creating a mix of extraordinary highlights and heart-warming simplicity to make every trip unforgettable.

Whether as a solo, a couple, family or friends I think its the magic in the ordinary and extraordinary that draws us to travel.

If you could give one piece of travel advice, what would it be?

Embrace where you are. Traveling isn’t about finding an English breakfast in Mexico or a cup of tea in Greece—it’s about immersing yourself in the culture and connecting with the place you’re visiting. We make it a priority to try local traditions, learn a few phrases, and embrace the differences.

It’s not just for us—it’s about teaching Sienna to appreciate the beauty of other cultures and how diverse the world is. Some of our best memories come from stepping out of our comfort zone and diving into local experiences. These moments don’t just make trips unforgettable—they shape how we see the world.

What have been the biggest rewards of running your own travel business?

Starting this business has not only opened doors financially—thanks to agent-only rates that make travel more accessible and earning an income—but it’s also changed our mindset. It’s taught us to seize opportunities and make them happen, where before, we might have played it safe or talked ourselves out of it.

Growing up, foreign travel wasn’t the norm for me. In fact, I didn’t take a proper plane trip until I was 18! That’s why seeing Sienna’s passport filled with stamps means so much to me. It’s a reminder of the incredible experiences she’s gaining through our efforts to build and run this business.

7 years old, sassy, and the worlds number one pasta lover!

What’s your favourite place you’ve travelled to so far, and why?

Lapland.  Because there is a lot of stuff there that we don't really get here.  The snow and the Huskies was the best thing.

What’s the bravest thing you’ve done on a trip?

Snorkelling on a reef in the middle of the Red Sea (not quite the middle).

What do you love about traveling with your family?

Seeing my family happy.

What’s the one thing you always pack in your bag for trips?

Activity books, keeps me busy on the plane there and buses, cars & boats.
